Description
ENTOMOLOGY
Presents the physiology, morphology, behavior, classification, and general biology of aquatic and terrestrial insects. A collecting period will provide an opportunity for students to collect, mount and properly display for insect study. Taxonomic emphasis limited to order and family. Mandatory, multiday, overnight, weekend field trips required. Field trips will entail additional student costs. This course is an elective course for Biology undergraduate majors and graduate students. Prerequisite: BIOLOGY 115 (Concepts in Biology 2) or admission to the MS in Biology program. Two hours of lecture and three hours of lab/field work per week. Not offered every semester.
